Discovering your child has an alcohol or drug problem will take your breath away.  When reality settles in, a fierce determination rises from within and you decide to "fix" the problem.  You take away car keys, set earlier curfews and demand that your child stop.

You try counseling, education and more rules which are all helpful yet still may not be enough. Despite pouring your whole heart into the situation, the problem may continue to escalate and you begin to acknowledge treatment may be the best course of action for your child. 

Once you decide treatment is needed, you face the hurdles of finding the best one for your child.  After you experience sticker shock at the cost, you begin to realize finding money for treatment can mean second mortgages, drained savings accounts and loans against your 401K.  For others, even these options do not exist.  Treatment is a critical step in the continuum of care.  Oklahoma Outreach Foundation knows treatment is beyond the financial means of many parents.  Our mission is to provide long-term recovery solutions for adolescents and their families.  We provide scholarships to qualifying families who cannot otherwise afford treatment for their adolescent.  This includes both inpatient and outpatient programs.
