Mission Academy

Quick Facts

 

  • First recovery high school in Oklahoma.  Started in Fall of 2006.

 

  • Located in Oklahoma City,  NW corner of 70th and N. Classen Blvd.

 

  • All students are in recovery.

 

  • Students attend school daily from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. 

 

  • Students take online curriculum classes along with Life Skills, Arts, Service Learning, and Careers.

  • Students advance at their own pace as they achieve competency in each academic skill. Additional elective credits can be earned through participation in a variety of school and recovery activities; including service, entrepreneurship, internships, work study, life skills, concurrent enrollment, and career tech.

  • Students earn an accredited high school diploma.

  • All students participate in a daily prayer and meditation session with their peers.

  • Daily 12-Step based recovery group meetings


  • Regular counseling sessions and participation in aftercare program are required.  A school counselor is an integrated and essential component of the school and serves as a recovery coach.

  • $800 tuition per month.  One-time academic fee of $700.  Scholarships available per qualifications met.

 

Referral process:

1.  Student must be referred through an agency, treatment center, or counselor.   

2.   Have student/parent call Mission Academy to set up a tour -- 405.843.9100

3.   Complete enrollment package – include a letter of recommendation from counselor.

4.   Provide proof of chemical free drug test within 7 days of starting at school.
